What do you like most about being part of O'Brien?
There is a culture at O’Brien where everyone wears multiple hats. While each of us specialize in different areas of expertise, everyone shares in supporting all clients. There is so much crossover and willingness to help one another that is truly an advantage for clients.
Can you share one secret to success that has been helpful to you in your career?
If you want to be good at something, be prepared to be bad at it first. When you first want to try something new, it can be difficult to get out of your comfort zone. Everyone starts somewhere and will make mistakes. Mistakes help us all learn and grow and without them, we would never reach our full potentials.
If wealth management were an ocean, what kind of creature would you be?
Terrapin. As a graduate of the University of Maryland, I have a special place in my heart for terrapins. While terrapins are mostly found in freshwater, they have several adaptations that allow them to survive in the sea when needed. I also aim to always have an adaptation or solution to offer to any issue presented to me.
What would your co-workers say is your superpower?
My superpower is that I am methodical. I am someone who loves lists and planning so I start each day with a list and end each day with one too. I strive to truly understand whatever it is that I am working with and methodically work toward the best solution for everyone involved. I find that working this way organically creates replicable and consistent results.
You're a new addition to the crayon box, what color would you be?
Hometown Red. The unnamed pantone color code (PMS 186 C) is the same red used for both the New England Patriots red and Maryland red, two major parts of me. As a New England native, I am a die-hard Patriots fan and love the classic red throwback jerseys. Red is also a bolder color, symbolizing passion and action, which also describes me as I am very passionate about the things I care about the most.
