What do you like most about being part of O'Brien?

Although I have not been here very long, everyone here at O'Brien has been very willing to help me get up and running and answer all the questions I have had (of which there have been many). There is definitely a strong sense of camaraderie and support throughout the entire team which isn't something that you can find at any firm.

Can you share one secret to success that has been helpful to you in your career?

Always be willing to try something new. Whether it has been volunteering to help out with a big project or taking on a new licensing exam, I have learned a lot about what types of work I enjoy doing and it has helped me discover my passion of helping people with their financial plans.

Matt joined O’Brien as a Support Advisor in May of 2025, he had previously worked at J.P. Morgan and First Republic Bank as an Associate Director of Operations. Matt is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a concentration in Business. Matt was born and raised in Buffalo, NY and currently lives in Dorchester with his fiancée. During his free time he loves trying new restaurants, playing volleyball, and traveling.
